Portraits
Portrait photography is much different than simple ID photography. With portraits, the models heads and lighting can be fixed around to create structure and shadows where as with ID photos the model looks directly into the camera with a stricter lighting. with lighting, I didn't make it too intense I usually had one studio light on around 50 with a white reflector on the other side to add some of the light to the other side of the face. The lighting and the pose the model is in has an effect on the picture. In the second picture, the light lighting and neutral expression gives the picture a neutral or tired tone. To highten the mood the lighting could be increased and the models pose and expression could be brighter to make the picture pop more.
Double Exposure
the most I chose the picture of the yellow flowers because it was a warm color like Leighann's hair so it was similar and yet contrasting. The overall mood from this piece is sad with a happy overtone. While Leigh's expression is sad and her face is sunken and hidden behind her hair the yellow flowers give some happiness to the piece. I think the contrast between the model and the flowers is the mosts successful part but if I had do further touch ups I would make the models skin less yellow tinged.
Favorite person, place and thing
I thought my images were successful. I feel that the colors in the pictures/ the subject's emotion creates a happily emotional attachment to these photos. If I were someone's favorite person and they wanted to take a picture of me, I would want them to photograph me from a good angle, no double chin at all. i would also want them to be not too close but not too far away so my facial expression could be seen but that it isn't so close that you can see any blemishes on my face.
